The Bazar International de Luxembourg is much more than an event; it’s a showcase of cultures, flavours, and, most importantly, a platform for impactful charitable action. This year’s Bazar, with 62 stands representing 55 countries, transformed LuxExpo The Box into a vibrant global village. Among the standout contributors was the Romanian Stand, organised by the passionate team of volunteers from Romania-Luxemburg Business Forum asbl.
From traditional delicacies and handcrafted ornaments to nostalgic dishes such as sarmale cu mamaliga si smantana, zacusca and the essential palincă and Romanian wine, the Romanian Stand offered a warm, welcoming slice of Romanian culture. Visitors were met with bright smiles and the renowned Romanian hospitality, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.
More Than a Stand: A Movement of Generosity
The Romanian Stand’s efforts extended far beyond the weekend event. Its primary mission was to support Fundația Bread of Life, a Romanian charitable organisation chosen to receive funds raised through sales and activities. But the efforts didn’t stop there – a series of events leading up to, and following the Bazar, ensured continuous support for this cause.
– Sing4Bazar: A Charity Concert at the prestigious Cercle Munster brought together Luxembourg’s business and associative leaders. Guests were treated to an evening of culture, networking, and philanthropy, with all proceeds directed towards the Bazar’s charitable initiatives.
– Race4Bazar: Hosted by the Romania Luxembourg Business Forum Asbl, this thrilling event combined speed and charity. Participants, from children to adults, enjoyed an action-packed day at the track, supported by sponsors like ACL, Brayton Global, and Epicerie fine Dracula Luxembourg.
– Sport4Bazar: A Charity Football Tournament held at Sport4Lux blended sportsmanship with a spirit of giving. Players and spectators united to celebrate the third anniversary of Sport4Lux while contributing to the Romanian Stand’s fundraising efforts.
A Collective Effort
None of this would have been possible without the dedication of countless volunteers who poured their energy, creativity, and time into every detail. Dressed in beautiful national costumes and iconic Romanian shirts, they delighted visitors while proudly celebrating their cultural heritage.
The Bazar is a truly unique event where cultural diversity is celebrated, and the joy of giving brings people together for a common purpose.
