At the 2025 edition of the Bazar International de Luxembourg, once again the Romanian stand – proudly organised by RomLux volunteers and friends – welcomed thousands of visitors and contributed to one of Luxembourg’s most cherished charity events.
This year’s edition brought together over 50 nationalities and was honoured by the presence of Her Royal Highness, Grand Duchess Stéphanie. Romania’s participation stood out through creativity, tradition, and community spirit. Our team of volunteers worked hard to offer an engaging and welcoming space, showcasing authentic flavours, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage.
Throughout the weekend, guests enjoyed traditional dishes such as sarmale, cozonac, coliva, socata, palinca and Romanian wines, admired handmade creations, and even posed with the iconic Dacia 1310, a symbol that once again stole the spotlight. The warm atmosphere, music, and hospitality created a sense of home for many – a true celebration of Romanian culture within Luxembourg’s international community.
Beyond the cultural experience, our participation served a greater purpose. The Romanian Stand made a significant contribution to the Bazar’s common charity fund. This year, we chose to support Friends of Children in Romania, helping finance the installation of solar panels for children’s homes in Hârja, Bacău County. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we are able to contribute to a project that brings long-term benefits to vulnerable children.
A special thank you goes to the Romanian brands and partners whose loyal support made this edition possible:
- Boromir – classic Romanian pastries and traditional specialties.
- Macromex – Casa Gruia’s authentic meat products and the Inedit plant-based range.
- Ursus Breweries – the beloved Romanian beer.
- Totenhopfen with Hop Hooligans Craft Beer – bold and creative craft beers.
- EFI Logistics – whose logistical support ensures the safe arrival of all products and materials from Romania every year.
- Dagon Wines – refined, artisanal wines from Dealul Mare, produced in small batches.
- ZEN Gin – premium craft gin distilled in copper for a refined character.
- Expertarom – cozonaci crafted exclusively for the event.
- Dar cu dor – handcrafted beadwork jewellery inspired by Romanian motifs.
- Atelier Utan – handmade and personalised leather goods.
- Pro Natura – natural wellness products and botanical extracts.
- Tudor Paul Scripor, inventor of the award-winning Scripor Alphabet – Tactile Colours for the Blind – and winner of the Gold Medal at the Geneva Invention Fair, who presented the tactile Rubik’s Cube.
The volunteers, visitors, and friends made this edition unforgettable. Together, we built new friendships, represented Romania with pride, and contributed to a noble cause.
We were also delighted to welcome Her Excellency Livia Rusu, Ambassador of Romania to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, who stopped by the Romanian stand to congratulate our volunteers and share her gratitude and pride.
Local press, including Luxembourg Times, featured the Romanian Stand, highlighting two standout gift ideas: ZEN Gin from Gin Religion — praised as the perfect find for any gin-lover, with its Art Deco–inspired frosted black bottle and magnetic recipe disc — and Tudor Scripor’s Rubik’s Cube for blind people, presented by the inventor himself. Their coverage underlined the creativity and uniqueness that Romania brought to this year’s Bazar.
The event also received attention in Romania, including coverage by Știrile Transilvaniei, which highlighted the positive impact of the Romanian stand — both in promoting Romania’s image abroad and in supporting the Bazar’s charitable projects. Their report underlined how our presence helps strengthen Romania’s role on the international stage.
We are proud to be part of the wonderful and unique family of the International Bazar. The Bazar — and Luxembourg itself — stand as an inspiring example of peace, prosperity, and cultural harmony, celebrating what makes each of us different. Events like this show how culture can bring people together in peace. The Bazar deserves recognition at the highest international level for its impact.
Looking forward to welcoming you again next year with the same enthusiasm, dedication, and joy.
