Romania is stepping up in the global innovation race, emerging as a key player in cybersecurity, AI, and robotics. Once known mainly for outsourcing, the country is now building one of Europe’s fastest-growing tech ecosystems, home to export-ready solutions and globally minded entrepreneurs.
On 17–18 June 2025, Romania’s vibrant tech scene will take centre stage at Nexus Luxembourg 2025, one of Europe’s premier innovation events. Under the banner “Put Your Business on the Map”, the Romanian Pavilion at Stand P19 – strategically located near the press area, startup zone, Speakers’ Corner and main stage – will host an impressive display of cutting-edge products and services from Romanian start-ups and established tech businesses.
Organised by the Romania-Luxembourg Business Forum (RomLux), the Pavilion will feature live demonstrations of innovative gadgets and a series of expert-led presentations from:
- Radu State, Professor and Head of SEDAN (Service and Data Management in Distributed Systems) at the University of Luxembourg, who will talk about the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) and the R&D programmes which are open for cooperation and funding of projects.
- Alexandru Tantar, Trustworthy AI Group Leader at the Luxembourg Institute of Science & Technology (LIST) and Board Member at Black Swan, a high-tech spin-off emerging from the SnT Department of the University of Luxembourg, active in the field of predictive analytics. Alexandru will talk to us about potential partnerships and funds accessible through LIST.
- Jonas Mercier, Project Coordinator, at Startup Luxembourg, a public initiative supported by the Ministry of the Economy and managed by Luxinnovation, and Board Member of the Luxembourg House of Web3.
